Kooks 1-7/8. No cats. I do have them connected to the stock catback and have stock mufflers. Planning on getting electric cutouts. Yes, stock MAF.

I had a similar issue with my G8 remote tuned through PatG. Spark knock only on WOT acceleration above 4000RPM and noticeable power loss. I was seeing 4-5° of knock retard. I couldn't find anything mechanically wrong (fuel trims, fuel pressure, ignition system, etc) and went through multiple retunes with Patrick. He saw nothing in the logs that stood out as a possible cause. In the end I replaced the stock MAF with a LS3/LS7 card style (retune for MAF) and swapped the stock ACDelco plugs for TR6s. That worked.

I haven't logged it to see exact rpm of knock retard but that sounds exactly like what mine is doing, above 4000 rpm.

Thanks for the heads up. I will try that asap. Where did you get your new MAF? Did you get PatG to retune or have it done locally?

This is where I got mine. All you need to do is switch the center two wires on the harness and get it tuned.

Bought the ACDelco MAF and Spectre MAF housing on Amazon, around $60 for both. PatG sent an updated tune with the only changes being for MAF scaling. Whether it was the MAF or the plugs I can't say.

I already changed the plugs so I will try the MAF. I'm gonna do some other testing, compression, leak down, check injectors and coils, etc.

Appreciate the feedback.

Marc, what cold air kit do you have on your G8? I have a Vararam and I'm not sure I have it sealed off very well.
