Nice build Darth! Will be interested to see your response on the coils upgrade assuming that's the only thing changed and the before/after. Don't forget the computer will need to relearn the coils so it will hunt/surge until it finds idle. Mine did it for about 20-30 seconds.

Thanks for the heads up, SXC!!
Lance, I'm really excited - and actually a bit scared - what the ITB will do. Its already insane. And I'm looking at the controller being maxed out too, so this will be fun.

Right now, I wouldn't change a thing on the cam. It drives pretty good, revs great, makes great power. I can't really take credit for the cam. I had an idea where I wanted it to be, but Phteven at Cam motion recommended differently vs my thoughts, and I went with his instead. I'm very happy with it. If, and I mean IF I decided to change anything, I think with ITB it could tolerate more overlap. But I like the IVC and EVO where they are. Seems like a great match for the displacement and compression I'm running.
If I was really interested in a bigger cam, like if I thought I had a shot at crossing a threshold (700 RWHP or 9.5s 1/4 ET for examples) I would do something like 252/266-111+2, which after accounting for solid lash, would "shrink" to 246/260-111+2 with 31 degrees overlap. I think this would raise the torque curve, shift it to the right a bit, and carry further past peak power.
But let's be real... I can't plant power now. I broke the car loose at 100 in third gear when I hit peak power, which was scary. The nice thing is this thing tracks straight when the wheels spin, so I didn't go sideways. Then, in an attempt to load up and just get airflow numbers, I took 4th to the top, and at 6400 rpm and 125-ish MPH, started getting wheel spin. So, a bigger cam isn't going to help me do much of anything. I do think that the ITB WOULD make a cam that big drive quite nicely, though, so I'm still very intrigued by the possibilities
I’ve heard and seen good results with the QTP. I’ll be using them on a 16” wheel next time I want a drag tire on my car. I tried Mickey ET Street S/S and did not like them at all. I’m a Hoosier guy through and through on our race cars.
I’ve had really good luck with 255/40/17 R888’s on the street. That was with 450rwtq, 4.10’s and a short ratio MN12 T56 in a 2850 pound rx7 with IRS and road race style suspension.

This should be fun. I've got an LS7 short and scooped up the BES 282cc heads that were on the classifieds today. It'll take me a while, but we'll be able to compare 428's. You'll probably have the ITB's going by the time I finish my lump. I've got another $5-6000 to go to get this thing running. Gross.
I was looking at the Brodix BR7 heads, but after spec'ing the valvetrain appropriately they were way too expensive. I don't need the strength or the extra bolt locations.
I might steal your Pontiac nod. My swapped rx7 was nicknamed the "mazgoat" by my friend because the original LS2 came from an '06 GTO. I guess the name will still fit

I re-read and realized I didn't answer most of your questions.
The over scavenging will just get worse from 6500 up to 8000. The MAP will just steadily fall. It is not unexpected. It's a stock LS7 intake. I knew it would be a limitation on the build, but they're so cheap and plentiful in the wild, it made it easy to just get the car running.

I've been paying attention to hammer's threads, and I'm guessing the stock controller will struggle to keep up at some point. M y intent is to go with Lance's controller when I do the ITB. I'll still need the stock ECU to monitor the car so it can smog out.
Hope all that helps...

Hi Jake, I have a "Condo" (P.O. Box) in a county of CA> wherein there is NO Smog test required for yearly reg.
I do not know the Emission Laws in FL.
Would there ALSO be a location (county) in FL with NO smog testing required ?
I have a "single" 65mm ITB casting. (eight required)
These could be assembled as a "cross ram" with head intake plates ?
Lance

Minor update, but after doing some suspension tweaks, I've been able to get third gear to hook. Had a couple really fun pulls this morning -- the car, you perverts!!
Was behind a semi at 40 mph in fourth, gunned it to get around him in the opposite lane, and hit 90+ by his front bumper. Rolling from third, I'd expect that, but from fourth surprised me. Got another really good run second through fourth and its shifting great, let off at 125, but it was still pulling really hard. I'm going to have to invest in more stopping power. I'm thinking the dual caliper strange rear brakes.
And one faux pax. I was passing a minivan, gear-clashed going into third and when I was right next to them, the motor just free-revved at full throttle. I felt bad, and I'm sure it scared the **** out of them.
