You know how you can look back on something and think to yourself, "how and when did I lose complete control over this?"

Yeah, I know exactly when it happened. Post 86.

Yes, might have gotten a bit out of control, but this is one of the funniest threads on the site right now. I still like the idea of ponycockalypse.

Oh, I agree, it's hilarious. And a kind of weird badge of honor. I'll wear it proudly

I like the fact you have to yell over the sound. Sounds like it's got a real throbbing horse **** burying those valves deep down the bores. You hear the engine screaming from it... Pure awesomeness.

Not to derail the thread from horse anatomy, but took the car for a drive last night and this morning, and it is completely retarded!

It's about 10% lean, low on timing, because I didn't know where fueling would end up, and both first and second gear are worthless. At 30% throttle, first breaks loose and goes to redline. At around 45% throttle, second breaks loose and goes to redline. At 50% throttle, third pulls like second used to.

I couldn't get into it much, because the WB was showing lean, and I couldn't load it up anyway, but it's just FAST. I feel like the stock intake might be "holding it back", but that might be OK for now. I need to get used to the power.

And I think the hoosiers are going on the car as well...

So, I fattened up the fueling, etc. This thing is really coming into its own as I tune it. On my last log, I hit 490 g/sec airflow, but it was still 6% lean, and that was only 6400 RPM, so it still hasn't hit peak power, which should be around 7000 RPM. My injectors are 50lb injectors at LS pressures, and they hit 85.5% duty cycle.

I managed to get fourth to dead hook on the street, and I ran it from 150 kph to 201 kph in 3.4 seconds (~32 mph gain) sort of simulating the back half of the quarter. In reality, though starting at 90 was too low, as I'd be hitting fourth around 105 mph and carrying it to 7500-8000 rpm. I was running a crotch rocket at the time and logging, so it wasn't exactly intentional.

It's funny, because my VE table looks pig rich at 130% in places and above 100% for the entire lower right quarter of the table and it's still lean. No new vids, but really happy with where this thing is heading. I"m hoping to get the fueling good and done on the street and then only need the dyno for timing. Edit -- I'm hitting 1.16 g/cyl peak at 6200 RPM, and the MAP won't stay above 94 KPa, so I'm over-scavenging the intake for sure. Looks like peak torque is going to be right around 6200 RPM.

I have a relocation coming in July, so I may not get the thing dyno'ed before I move, so nobody hold their breaths on that. But I think based on the airflows, wideband readings, and fueling info I posted, people can get a pretty good idea where this thing is landing on power.

Sounds like you need a serious tire on that thing.

It's no surprise that this thing defies the laws of physics and goes above 100% VE. Glad to know I'm not the only one though. My VE table looks weird in the bottom right corner, same as you. Originally this was due to the stock fuel pump running out of steam at about 4000 rpm. I since installed a walbro 255, and it still goes above 100 N/A. I just attribute that to the PCM not being able to process that level of badassery.

Judging by your video it looks like that thing pulls harder than a trans hooker at a rub & tug contest. It looks mean. Good ****.

Waiting to see if jaik has to scale his tune 25% because it’s maxing out dynamic airflow so bad...
