I'd almost pulled the trigger on TFS LS7 heads on three different occasions....glad I went with AFR's.....

i almost went with TFS 255s myself too. Went with AFR 260s at the eleventh hour

Glad i went AFR not TFS, i'd be worried now, everyone has problems, its how you deal with it, that tells you all you need to know..

Well someone else from Trick Flow contacted me today, apparently the guy I had been talking to dropped the ball. Unfortunatly the heads are already getting worked on by my machinist.

Good news is that Trick Flow is going to make it right. I will keep yall updated but I now have restored faith in trick flow

Agreed, when I ordered their porter's casting online, they actually looked up my account info and called me to make sure I knew what I was buying before shipping them out.

What's a "porter's casting"? Is that a completely raw/unfinished head that has to be completely ported/cut/sized/etc?

It's basically their 220cc as cast cathedral head without a valve job or chamber work. I think it's what most cylinder head guys (Frankenstein, TEA, etc) will use to develop their own port and valve combos, hence the name.
