all the information in the world at his fingertips and can't type "sleeves" into google and then "refine" the search to find ALL the information in the world on "engine cylinder sleeves" on his own. and then going to insult those who helped him by telling them he's buying a block for $150 what did he think he was going to get a couple of sleeves installed for $75?.

I had a sleeve replaced in an ls2 block. Bought the Darton replacement sleeve for like $100 or so, and my machinist charged me a couple hundred more to install it. Had to over bore all cylinders due to distortion (from the new sleeve install) and deck the block to cut the new sleeve down to deck height. I think I had like $700ish in it before it was fixed. I had nothing in the block money wise to start with, as I got it on a trade, so I felt ok about the situation.

Does TSP stress relieve to blocks afterwards?

this is ALL great info on getting a block resleeved or repaired but you missed what the OP said, he said he could get a block from a buddy for $150, but he was checking to see if he could just have A sleeve put in his IE he thought he could get a sleeve put in for less then $150, you know this guy wants 800 hp at the crank and he's going to do it for $500

I don't think so I believe he is saying his friend has a damaged ls3 block he is selling him for 150. He was looking into the cost of sleeves to see if the block was worth repairing after the cost of new sleeves and the 150$ initial cost from his friend.

This.
which is why I posted what I did. I had about $700 in the block, after sleeve replacement.

Not all shops will do sleeves in aluminum blocks because they know there is stress relieve involved and dont want the headache of it
other shops will do sleeves and not do stress relieve,it will work most of the time but after the block gets hot the sleeve goes out of round and can crack
When installing one sleeve it will/can destort the sleeves next to it if improperly done
