Default Cam decisions??

Which cam is better and will make more power on a ls3 motor with ported heads and supporting mods?
night fury cam 233/242 .629 .629 113+3
cam motion 224/237 .647/.637 112+4

I think the Cam Motion cam will be better over all with less duration which will help the low and midrange, and higher lift will still bring in more air higher up. Plus its 112LSA and 4 degrees advance will help the low end

I know who designed the Night Fury... not who sold it. Designed it.

I’d go with Night Fury hands down, but that’s me. I don’t “race” from 800-2800rpm. What’s your actual intentions with the car?

Always gets me questions on a cam without full details.

What gear, trans, intended use, and what car is it going in?

Hands down the night fury will make more power. End of story if you only need the last 2000rpm on the top end e.g. 4500-6500rpm between shifts.

If you need average power over a wider rpm band and a more friendly daily driver, the story may change. Both cams will make good power but that extra 9 degrees intake @ 050 is going to make more top end period.
