Default Main cap 1 and 5 bearing orientation

just wondering if there is a certain orientation of the bearings in the lower main cap halves? Caps 1 and 5 have 2 slots in them so the bearing tang can technically go either way. 2 3 and 4 have only one groove for the bearing tang. In the upper half (block) section they can also only go one way. The book says nothing about the orientation so I’m assuming either way should be correct otherwise gm wouldn’t have had slots on both sides of the cap half. I understand the caps can only go in 1 direction and that is with number 5 being the opposite direction. Hope I am just over thinking this because now I can’t remember which way I put the bearing in caps 1 and 5 and I don’t want to pull them apart again if I don’t have to. Thanks

It doesn't seem to matter, I've built them both ways and it makes no difference.

thanks, that would make sense to me otherwise you wouldn’t think it would have a groove on each side of the cap.
