That's the damn truth! Of all the basic principles of making power, that is the simplest and is usually overlooked or misunderstood in builds. If you go back in time, I have see whole threads of guys scared to have more than stock lift, scared the springs will break, scared, scared, scared. People will believe any bullshit on the net.

 

With my CNC LS3 heads I am running .660 lift.
These heads love the extra lift.
Anything up to .700 on the intake side you will see gains
