Tuskey it's all in the entire combination ls3 large port and a limited Port filling MSD,FAST, etc & a BS 102 tb don't = fast. Dyno numbers maybe but not et ....ls3heads -4500tb & 400ci stroker = fast.

If you want fast with a Fast or MSD intake?
Do like some do, build for the edge of pump gas 12+ min. Solid roller, and +427 and say Yeah we made some hp, with this top end package....BS can't feed enough air and fuel for the cost ....then porting we talking $2k with rails and injectors & the BS can't supply....wish i would buy that BS.

Hmmm... thats a good word there. #UNDERWHELMING
I guess the top end of ANY cubic inch eithier makes or breaks the motor. Its just depressing on here when i see guys running 11s with a 400 plus cube motor especially in a F body car. Darth , If notice those UNDERWHELMING strokers tend to have LS3 heads on them. Its more than one on board.
Anyway... that makes me think about my little 355 SBC i had in a chevy LUV. People say you cant make power with a 355 motor. The little truck went 7.33 in the 1/8th mile and i drove the truck daily until i sold it. It would had went 11s with ease with some hand ported double hump heads. Man i hate i sold my LUV BUG![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)

Get these two correct and you will have a higher revving top end screamer of a stroker.
As Darth said LS3/LS7 heads love RPM

What's everyone's thoughts on the lod speedworks intake for a stroker such as mine?

The dyno results that have been posted online seem to back that up, but man that price tag is stiff!

Has a really nice power curve and good avg power but seems to be down up top with less than 700@crank. Easier to try an intake than different heads. These heads were done by sps and again move good air. Gavin Simcoe is a good porter and graduated from Sam ,while I know aftermarket with 11-12 degree valve angle would make more I dont see a huge gain from another porter on this casting .
I may try the LOD eventually and see, first will be try what I have and see if it pushes this heavy car to low 10s

Very possible. My sniper allowed it to rev clean to 8000 rpm and peaked at 671@7700rpm.

Hint - it will not. Check out the hood work lazerlemonta had to do to fit the LOD on a vette. Without the cowl issue

OK they just got back with me. It is 10" at it's highest point and dips to 8" in the rear. I will have to do some measuring on the S10
