I'm still around. Glad to see I made an impact. If I can ever get back into my normal user account, then I'll start posting again.

I've been busy--running a new gym, got a big promotion at work, and working on other toys.

But I still have the 440 and the Trans Am. I just need to finish the motor--it's sitting in my dining room.

Yeah, finally. I sort of gave up. And went off and did other stuff. Haven't touched this car in the last two years. But I will change that!

My car has a 440. With the big bore and short stroke it loves to rev. Still makes god torque. Not sure I'd really change anything.

Jake, jumping back to the X pipe vs Y pipe discussion earlier in thread.

Typical drag & scrap of a loud 3 inch dual X set up what's your thoughts on the Hooker Blackheart 2.5 dual X pipe set up?

The Blackheart seems to be about a 3% hp loss vs a Kook dual 3 inch X pipe set up around ~600whp level based on the one compare I saw.

Having TD 2.5 Blackheart system on my T/A, I’m interested to learn more about power loss vs 3 inch TD on LS7 architecture.
My 434 is still RED and my target is around 600whp when done.

Blackheart’s biggest advantage is really good ground clearance and absolutely no drone.

I'd stick with the Blackhearts.

Gaining ground clearance and a quieter exhaust is worth any trade off in power, since I don't really think it will be more than 10-20HP.

I am tempted to ditch the kooks in favor of the black heart and just run cutouts for track days

Darth, at your power level it would be an interesting to see before/after comparison.

As for myself, I am willing to compromise some power to have somewhat quieter exhaust that’s not banging against car chassis and not scrapping pavement.
I said somewhat quieter, because it is very loud at any point over 50% engine load.

721BHP/630BTQ. That is on a dyno carburator intake and dyno headers on E85.

Post dyno sheet if you can. Great numbers. What was final compression ratio?

Solid numbers, congratulations!
Post them in your engine build thread too.
