I'm with you Darth, Ill be starting up in the morning, just have to connect the battery.
one thing I did differently was bleed the clutch from the master cylinder. Worked great. No getting under the car, no pumping the pedal

Thanks guys!

Mickey, if you get the remote speed bleeder, here's a trick... Crack the bleeder, and stuff the end unto your clutch fluid reservoir. Put a mirror so you can watch the reservoir while you pump the **** out of it until no more bubbles. Then, close the bleeder and a few test pumps for pedal check. if it needs more, crack the bleeder again, stuff the end int he reservoir and pump some more. I've had my best results via that method and can do unassisted.

Very glad I did a once over with a fresh mind. Primed fuel pump and found a fuel leak. Fixed that. Found a coolant leak and fixed. Second round of leak tests went well.

First start went pretty good overall. Pretty happy. Had oil pressure as soon as I bumped the starter. 65 psi once the motor caught. Considering all the changes it started pretty easily.

It has a dead hole. Positive it's a spark wire. I had to stay in the gas to keep it running so I was not able to grab a good video.

Warmed it up, shut it down. No apparent leaks. Lots of smoke from all the handling and oil residues as per usual.

I know the tone of the post is kinda ho-hum. Just gotta chase down the dead cylinder and then I will be more excited. But the major hurdles cleared - no bad noises and great oil pressures!!

Good to hear everything going well so far.
It could be a dead coil causing the cylinder issue.
I'm happy also that I am not reading about any pushrod issues etc. (I know I won't let that one go so easy)
I look forward to more updates.
I'm getting pumped for mine also.

Pretty sure it's a wire. I had to cobble together eight wires from two sets of used wires done with cracked insulators and boots.

My coils are damn near bulletproof

There's almost no way it's the coils. Those coils are bulletproof (Lance ftw) and he was having issues with the wires before. As soon as the firecores get there I'm sure it'll fix it. Nice work Darth! Can't wait to hear a good startup vid

Wires

Not going to do all eight. One dead and one live hole match compression so I know it is not mechanical. I got fuel. Just weight on gnu wires

Do those IGN1's require anything special for wires other than length? Impedance, shielding, etc.

It requires a different coil end on the wire. not compatible with stock wires, or i'd run them right now. Only ones I know that will work are MSD and Firecore.

The IGN1A use the usual wire boot/connector for a distributor.
