Got the engine and transmission in , turn the key and the oil pressure gauge and water temp gauges not working. Traced it back to water temp sensor wiring had a break. Just waiting on new water temp sensor which should arrive tomorrow. The old one was reading -40c so it’s throwing a few tps codes. Hopefully can start it up once new sensor arrives
With having my heads ported to Mamo”s biggest port should I throw a couple of percent more fuel at it or start it and see where its at?

If the camshaft stays the same, I’d start with your existing tune. In closed loop PCM will be more than capable to compensate, maybe bump up the tune in power enrichment to stay safe under heavy load in open loop. Just ported heads won’t change VE/MAF too drastically. You will see the biggest change on top end. Another reason would be to actually find how OFF is the current calibration to see gains from updated heads.

I’ve been chasing electrical issues last few weeks , on top of having to pull engine out again due to a dodgy concentric slave. Finally drove it today, got it up to temp, oil pressure 25psi idle 55psi at 5000rpm, old tune is surprisingly close. Drove it 15mins and just as I pulled into garage one of the electrical issues with o2 sensor came back, started to add 50% more fuel. Back to trouble shooting
