2001 Ls1 camaro 241 heads. Opened up the valve covers to change my springs for my cam swap and noticed a Brown/Orange stripe on my springs.

Are these factory on a 01? Or are these 02/03 Z06 ls6 springs already installed in my car?

I believe LS6 springs are either blue or yellow. They came both ways. Yours could easily still be the OEM LS1 springs.

Thanks for the reply I’ve heard that
01s were blue, 02s were yellow, 03s/04s were orange striped. But don’t know if that’s true or not I guess the best way to find out is to pressure test them


I have never opened up the car myself but I’m not the original owner either.
