cam motion and johnson will be similar depending on which lifter......for years LS7 was the "its ok, she will run a long time" lifter of cam swaps but thanks to ls1tech people are slowly realizing you are better off dropping a $400 lifter instead.

I have not used the Cam Motion link bars. I use the Morel 5290, street lifter. But, I do know they are Johnson's. How do I know, I called them and asked them.

I'm running a Futral .610 lift, 232° duration, 112° LSA cam with LS7 lifters on 180lb base circle, 420lb over the nose PAC springs for 25,000 miles. Never had a bad lifter....... Yet!!!

I recently bought these. Bobby from Cam Motion told me they are Johnson 2116's. They say Johnson right on them.

Very well could be the case. We ordered a set of sold lifters a few months ago for another 440 build and they were Cranes.

I think you guys are getting a little confused. The $400 link bars are Morels. The $500 plus set are Johnsons. Both are quality lifters, with the lower priced Morels intended for street use. This is more than an RPM limit. The street versions have looser tolerances designed for street use such idling in traffic, and can accept dirt particles better than the more sensitive race lifters.
