I've never had a $10k or 15k engine, but if I did then yes I would get better lifters. Luckily 1200hp only takes a $2000 engine

Exactly, I've had $500+ lifters fail too many times.
Amen to this. I've seen WAY to may high $ NA motor failures lately and some of them have been valvetrain related.
