Default Rate or Berate my LS2 Caddy Build

hey guys long time lurker of the forums here glad to finally join the community! i think i may have just finished my build for my 07 CTS-V! its been a long adventure with a pretty steep learning curve for this og 70's engine tech guy to overcome, so i was wondering what yall thought about it? do you guys see any weak points or bottlenecks that i should address before i start lacing into her? or anything i could improve on or anything i should worry about breaking? im a little bit nervous cause of all the new tech n stuff i want this build to last me a very along time so any advise/criticism or points of interests/concern would be very much appreciated thanks guys!




LS2 821 GM performance LS3 heads decked 0.030”, LS3 intake manifold, LS9 injectors, Comp cam Spin monster cam 230/234 .613/.598 114+2 cam. Lunati dual Gold valve springs, CHE rocker trunnions,comp pushrods, ARP head bolts, arp rocker studs, arp balancer and cam bolt. Pistons at fly cut .065” for valves because of the cam set up. ATI 10% underdrive pulley, pacesetter headers coated. Monster LT1-S twin disk and flywheel rated for 700 FLBS of tourque. LS7 clutch, cts-v slave and tick braided clutch line and speed bleeder. B&B 3” exhaust system. Creative steel motor and trans mounts, and cradle bushings. Brian’s modified shifter with weighted ****. Creative steel 8.8 rear end with 4:10 ratio Driveshaft shop 1000hp axles and a new oem driveshaft from Cadillac. 6.0 truck starter, heat wrapped. Racetronix Hotwire fuel pump kit all heat wrapped hooked up to a walbro 255 intank. Custom regulated return -6 feed and return. IAT Brake out kit. All fuel lines, alternator wires and starter wires are heat wrapped. Mightmouse catch can. Car is dyno tuned by local hotrod shop with 464whp. There is more done obvisouly but thats the major stuff that I can remember.

Overall very decent build. I would port the intake for sure, go to thinner gasket/mill heads for more compression and run the offset BBC head dowels and slide the heads over .030 to get the intake valve off the wall. Probably 20-30hp in all of that and a lot of torque. Spin makes fantastic cams, the results show it.

Stout build there for a 1st gen V! I to had an 07 V. The 8.8 rear by CS and driveshaft shop axles are a must! Looks like a well thought out build. Any pics?
