Default L92 rod question

Swapping out the rod bolts on this 6.2L that I just pulled from a escalade. My question is swapping to the ARP hardware do i have purchase oversize bearings and have the rods themselves machined or anything like that.

You should check for roundness anytime your changing out fasteners.

according to my well seasoned engine builder just slapping on ARP bolts on a stock rod is a bad idea. Why do you think you need the extra strength? Because of the ARP’s geometry it may be weaker than the factory bolts and not in agreement with what GM engineering came up with. ARP Will sell anyone their bolts. Can you do it, sure but it may not be a good idea.
