High mileage ls3 rockers?
Anyhoo, a few weeks after I bought it, a few so-called upgraded trunions let loose. So I changed them out with an extra set of stock I had for the time being. I wasn't too worried about bearings. A few got to the pan but the rest were pretty much accounted for in the head. A few weeks later a stocker let go and took cam and lifters with it.. Now it was time to pull the motor. Luckily a good friend was coming up for LSFest and had a Titan 3 cam laying on the shelf got some new lifters c/o Cam Motion.
I was hoping to get by a few weeks of driving since it's my wifes DD.
The old cam was a Texas speed and was a healthy one, but was worn and scarred just like a stock cam does. Grooved by lifters.
But CHE trunions is all I will use. If a trunion wears out, it will get loose. If a needle bearing style goes, well.... prepare to pull motor.
I had a lot of bearings in the pan and p/u tube screen, scored oil pump and fortunately, the Amsoil filter got all the nasty little stuff.
