This is what you are using in your stuff? A bit hard to believe as gm says $127 or so per rod

I use ones from the junkyard with 150-200k miles on them, that way you know everything works and the rings are nice and ready for boost.

$hit, I was so proud of my Scat rods...after reading through this, I'm afraid to go out and start the old wagon, I'm afraid they'll all leave the block if I rev it over idle...

64, were the rod bolts new and stretch measured on the failed rod? I've only heard of a couple LS rod bolt failures and they were used and stretched not measured. Makes one wonder how an untouched SBE can handle >1000hp and 8000rpm day after day. Rod bolts never touched and the tune is sorted out.
