I have an email from Johnson lifter saying both the 2116LSR and ST2126 are rated at 185# closed and 535# open. In Jays situation (which he bought car not knowing - see his thread) he was way above that (which caused issues) the 2110s he had are like I think are rated 160 and 430 and my guess he was mid 200 closed and 540 on the open.

That's good to know. They should update the description on their website for those lifters.

The ShearFab fabricated lid is worth, roughly, 15whp over the stock Holley lid. A buddy of mine tested it just recently.

I hope your on a Diet (search Diet Coke on the forum)... same/similar car 640+ rwhp and a auto didn't get 9's at around 3300.
Build was a 427+ Ls3 14.5+ comp solid roller
ls7 small bore heads from tsp & high ram..

the gen 5 camaro really is a heavy chevy.
Great auto cross car at weight.. reference the optima challenge yr in and yr out.
i think it will have it in it with some good weather on better fuel

ernie? I thought he had another fab’d lid. Also I’ve heard 2 other times of people that tested the shearer it loses compared to the stock Holley lid, which is odd to me. Not sure what my stance on it is now

Yeah him. He said that other lid made 5whp over the stock lid and the Shear made 13-15whp over that.

Another buddy of mine runs the lid on his 6th gen SS and it's one of the fastest bolt on 6th gen in the country. So, idk either lol.

Do you know the setups of the ones you said lost power with it? Are you sure it was the lid and not the Surge Intake Shear has?

Most people can live with 1 kidney and 1/2 of a liver. How much weight do you want to save, lol?

I started a thread with the question of the avg weight of a sn95 with ls swap with weight reduction and what was removed.

Got all the information I'll ever need.

Got the pushrods sizes and injectors in. Just waiting for Tilton slave to arrive, backordered 4 weeks ordered it 2 weeks ago. Then the motor goes in after setting up clutch and slave cylinder

that’s what I’m hoping makes the difference on this build. Ewp, gas ported pistons, crank scraper, underdrive, manifold spacer, etc
