The plan looks like this;
Engine to replace LS3 in 2010 Corvette
I don’t expect it to make more than 12 to 14 PSI, probably less
I will run it on a boost limiter at ~800 WHP most of the time with a “push to bass” to override ~ 1,000 WHP
E85, triple Fore fuel pumps, 1,300 cc injectors, sufficient for 1,200+ WHP
427 CI, Vortech V-3 billet Ti CSC
· Block
Aluminum, Gen IV, Darton sleeved by Race Engine Development, RED, block cast number is 12571048
Large sleeves for 4.125” bore, 5.800” length
Align hone
Bore to 4.125”, Torque plate
Katech Billet Steel Main Cap Set, Part #KAT-A4122 or equivalent
Bore for dowels
· Crankshaft, Molnar, 4” stroke
· Connecting rods, Molnar PWR ADR
· Heads, Dart Pro 1, 15 deg 280cc, 68cc, 11:1 >/= CR </= 11.5:1, Clean up combustion chamber and mild to moderate porting of exhaust
· Pistons, JE Pistons Ultra series
· Valves, Ferrea 6000
· Lifters, Johnson ST 2116 or 2126 lifters
· Pushrods, Strongest, stiffest you can find, 5/16” ball
· Valve Springs, PSI, Rate to match cam
· Retainers, Tool steel
· Head gaskets, BES choice
· Head studs, ARP 2000
· Main studs, ARP
· Cam, profile to be determined after heads and valves, Cam Motion
· Cam Bearings, BES select
· Main Bearings, BES select
· Oil pump, Melling 10355, high pressure
· Timing set, TBD
