L92 engine full rebuild thinking about stroker kit

Default L92 engine full rebuild thinking about stroker kit

I was thinking to rebuild my engine with just cam and some springs but after my builder saw the crank and it's destroyed so im thinking to get a stroker kit without resleeve . A guy recommend to go 415 cid any recommendations?
i already bought GT11 cam , 11/32 rods and 660 dual springs. Don't want choping sound want it close to stock with high hp around 500 to 550 in the wheel .

My question
Can i go with 407 to 415 with just crank piston rods without resleeving .
Also does stroking my engine will definitely make it noticble by sound (want stock sound or just very little more to avoid cop's in my country.

Think to go with 4065 and 4 stroke flat top kit

Please share ur opinion im nooby here first project

Cam and large jump in compression will make the chop...not just a stroke.

So if i change the cam with custome one is it possible! Im already need new crank piston so i decided to push it little more N/A do you recommend lower cid number?

Extra cubic inches won't make it choppy. The cam specs themselves make it choppy or not.

That's what i thought. I picked the Gt11 cam just for this reason.

I'll see your advice here in this thread and go with what most of you agree with . I really want to run with 6.8 to get more gain than regular 6.2 cam upgrade

215/231 duration @ .050 lift - .631/.644 lift with 1.7 118.0 CL
Extensive engine dyno testing at Lingenfelter has produced some of the best street camshaft profiles available for the LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6 engines. The Lingenfelter "GT11" camshaft was designed to produce excellent power and will give your car an smooth muscle car idle & can be used in a automatic or six speed manual transmission equipped vehicles that are daily driven.


Looking at specs and what they claim... yes, some "chop", But I wouldn't expect it to be too much.

I didn't see a LSA number...

Actually with more cubic inches the chop becomes less.

More cubic inch and more compression will kill the duration and such of the cam. I wouldn't expect the cam to make too much power on the new motor though as you're limiting the potential of a 400+ motor with a smaller cam like that. It will still be fun, but lacking. What do you plan on for the rest of the engine combo? Heads, manifold, etc.

GT11 is a baby cam for a stoker and trying to reach 500-550 rwhp. What's the rest of the combination?
