“High” Compression 416
Hi ram is buttoned back up. Everything is ready to rock and roll. Waiting on special clamps for radiator hoses before I start adding in coolant this week. Here’s the checklist for this week and final stretch to get some oil pressure!
-Fill block and expansion tank with coolant. Will obviously need to bleed system once idling
-Fill break in oil into motor
-Drop transmission pan, replace filter and gasket, install new oil pan with added drain plug
-Pick up connection pipes from exhaust shop. Had them lengthened and wideband hung added to driver side
-(Im)patiently wait for base tune from Ryan at GPI 😎
Not much left to do boys! When it’s time to fire I’ll make a video and upload to YouTube. I may also go back and upload all my progress. I took a ton of videos and pictures along the way that I haven’t uploaded here. I wanted to make some type of build vlog so I need to get around to that.
Goodies arrive today so I’ll upload some pics this evening!
after disabling all DTC’s related to VATS, I finally can get fire to bust off and start to idle. What I’m now having trouble with is when truck starts to idle, within 5-15 seconds the RPM will ramp up on its own. Originally I thought it was maybe the CTSV (gen2) pedal so I picked up a 2012 Silverado pedal earlier and it’s doing the same thing. It’s inconsistent on when the RPM jumps but it will hover 700-900, then quickly jump up to 2/3/4K before I quickly kill it. It does not start at high idle though when firing it up. Only code I *think* can be correlated is P1328. Any insight?
Brand new NW103 tb, and I have the ctsv2 pedal and truck pedal on hand.
Whats interesting is pin C on pedal connector is a 5V reference but seeing 5.03V and it jumps around A LOT with multimeter probing power.
still trying to track it down. But not a vacuum leak issue
