Small update: fuel system passed the test with no leaks! Not much of a victory by any means but first time messing with PTFE and also doing it in at 1-3AM while on maternity leave. I’ll take it! Lol

Hi ram is buttoned back up. Everything is ready to rock and roll. Waiting on special clamps for radiator hoses before I start adding in coolant this week. Here’s the checklist for this week and final stretch to get some oil pressure!

-Fill block and expansion tank with coolant. Will obviously need to bleed system once idling
-Fill break in oil into motor
-Drop transmission pan, replace filter and gasket, install new oil pan with added drain plug
-Pick up connection pipes from exhaust shop. Had them lengthened and wideband hung added to driver side
-(Im)patiently wait for base tune from Ryan at GPI 😎

Not much left to do boys! When it’s time to fire I’ll make a video and upload to YouTube. I may also go back and upload all my progress. I took a ton of videos and pictures along the way that I haven’t uploaded here. I wanted to make some type of build vlog so I need to get around to that.

Goodies arrive today so I’ll upload some pics this evening!

Hey guys. I apologize for the delay. I hate it just as much. Here’s a synopsis on the last couple weeks. Truck went off to a fabrication shop here in Tulsa. Work was agreed upon as far as what I want done, and the price. This included exhaust work, drivetrain angles, shock relocation, chassis stiffener, and alignment. Long story short, nothing was done on truck like I was told it was, so I picked it up. There’s more to the story but I don’t care to discuss it any more than I already have. While I pulled truck back into garage I figured I may as well add a couple more goodies to the list for the next shop to help with. So, in the meantime I ordered a Quick Performance 9” optioned with 35 spline, TrueTrac with 3.89 gear, and Wilwood Dynalite. I also picked up a manual brake bundle to convert over to that as I honestly didn’t want to attempt hydroboost swap. Wheels finally made it in also, and now I’m set to drop off truck this month of March for last round of upgrades before driving. I’m still anticipating first start up also as I had a weird ECM issue on flashing ECM, so I sent that into my tuner Ryan @ GPI. More to come soon! Here’s some pics in meantime

Major bummer on the other shop, but the engine looks great!

Hopefully not too much longer before you can hear it.

New shop is making awesome progress! 9” is installed, exhaust is pretty much buttoned up as of yesterday, and a few more smaller details before I’m able to pick it up! Hopefully another week and I’ll be on the road with her!

Little updates. Exhaust looks amazing. Have to do a couple tweaks for bed to fit correctly. Couple notches on bracing. And swap to a banjo fitting on the Holley fuel pump flange. Regular 90 sticks up too far. Manual brake conversion almost done. Received the wrong pushrod so waiting for that to arrive. And ABS module delete block is in and looks great. Seat conversion brackets also arrived which will allow me to install these 2024 GM truck seats in 😎
