Default Isky lifters

I'm looking at the Isky silver series hpx hydraulic roller lifters part# 2076hyrt. Does anyone know the recommended preload range for this lifter?

Thank you. Do you know if the recommended range is .040 +/- .010 ?

1/2 turn from zero lash with an adjustable or .040 preload factored into the pushrod for non-adjustables. That is the recomended preload for those lifters

Everything has to have a tolerance (upper and lower specification limits). No one is hitting dead nuts on 0.040 on every lifter with non-adjustable rockers. I get 0.040 is nominal. I'm trying to see how much variation I'm allowed using pushrod length to achieve the desired preload with non-adjustable rockers.

I have the silver HPX lifters in my LT1. There was a piece of paper that came with my lifters that dictated the range. I'll have to look it up when I get home today, but I remember it being along the lines of .030" - .045".

EDIT: I just checked some documentation I had online and the range is .030" - .040".

Default Iron Case OR AL Case

Those here MAY want to know what is the best "preload".
There IS a difference when an Iron (LSX) crankcase OR an AL crankcase is specified ?

Best advice is to call ISKY Camshafts and see what they tell you.
