IMO the cost/work wouldn't be worth the gain.

I'm sure it will, but for the cost, it's pointless.

Just asking, because, when my engine gets ver 125-150k on her. (shes got 50know) id rather just bolt a ls2 in there. By then they will be 2 grand for a totalled car, and i can just pull one and slap it in there thats why i asked haha

To put an LS2 in, yes thats pointless.

To buy a 4 inch bore LS2 bare block and do a cheap large motor, thats not.

Wow, Im so surprised that no one has had any input worth a **** on this thread.

I would imagine that with all the other guess matching parts ( heads & intake ) that A bolt up ls2 is not out of the question. I'll bet we'll have to wait till either, A someone tries it, or B - Some sort of official statment is made that lets us know how the mounts will be changed if at all on this new motor =) - And Its always worth it to someone , its not always about "gain"

Most of the info is on other threads. Other than the knock sensors, everything is pretty much a bolt-up including the engine mounts. I've been using the LS2 head gaskets (MLS made by FelPro for GM) for a couple of months now.
