Car & Driver about C6
Car & Driver about C6 I'm really confused...I read the LS2's heads are supposed to be an updated LS6 head. But on TNN Car and Driver showed the car and they said the engine was a 6.0 DOHC 24valve V8. They must be on crack...Car Craft mag. showed a cut away of the LS2 and it looked like a 2valve per cylinder, pushrod motor to me. They just goofed i guess. The overhead cam part i know is wrong, but last year the rumors of a 3 valve head was floating around. Did anyone else see the show today? Either way $47,000 for a Z51 C6 sounds good to me. But when the ZO6 is due to come out my '02 WS6 will be paid off

That stupid show does things like that all the time...When they did the Mach 1 Mustang, one of the magazine editors was talking about how the car had a 5.0 in it... I saw this Corvette mishap yesterday as well.

The only reputable mainstream tv car show is Trucks on Spike, and that is only because that Tracy guy knows his ****. Everyone else is just a 30 minute advertisement. As for Car & driver or MotorTrend. eehhh, so so, but their views suck as they obviously dont know an ohv from and dohc engine

Just read the Motor Trend article on the C6. Impressive numbers 0-60 4.3, 1/4 12.7 @114, 186 MPH top speed. Ofcourse Motor Trend is so inconsistent with their testing from year to year it will most likely be even better.

was reading that the LS2 heads and cam r basically the same as the '01 LS6 engine... 204/211-.525/.525 but dunno if the LSA is the same at 116... heads r the same with the basic valves, not the hollow/filled style of the '02s...
