Hello,
The 4L65E is already in the 04 Silverado SS. You can check your glovebox option list for RPO code "M32". If it is there (it should be), you have the 4L65E trans.
Here is the specs right from GM's website:

Enjoy!!!!!!!

Hey, there is also a 4L85E out now that is sometimes used behind the 8.1L in 3/4T trucks (if they didn't get the Allison).
It will bolt up but wiring may be fun
It is RPO code "MN8". Here are the specs--

i've got a 4L65E in my Z. its almost a direct bolt-in for the 4L60. the only things you have to swap off the old tranny are the tailhousing (6 bolts) and the shift lever (must drop pan, takes about 15 min to swap)

Here is the specs on the 5L40E. Nothing offical yet on the 50, B T, but in your link it mentioned 311 lb-ft, which I think is pretty weak.

If you'll notice on the right side in the applications they show several BMW's that use the 5L40E. I guess that says something for our "lowly American cars"

Hughes claims that their street/strip 4L80E will live with up to 1000hp and I've heard that FLP says they can build a streetable 4L80E that can take up to 1200hp.I don't think a 200R4 can be built that strong. The gear ratios for a 4L80E are 2.48 1.48 1.0 .75 so you get closer spacing to.

4L60E stage 3 from Dr. Evil through Speed Inc.
The 4L60E can be built to withstand high horse applications. It uses vacuum modulation for low speed shifts and computer controled line pressure shifts at full throttle. This thing bangs like a turbo 400 with a shift kit. I got one and luv it.

Yes, i have mine built pretty-dang-good (Blue Plate Clutches, Reaction Plates, billet servos, Raybestos Bands, etc) but if/when it breaks I wanted to know where to go. The FLP level 5 looks sweet and the price looks "reasonable"
