LS1 cams work in the LS2 Good news, you can install any LS1 cam in an LS2 even though the LS2 has the cam position sensor relocated - it's been moved to the timing gear and no longer requires the "lobe"-

I had heard that the sensor was placed in front. So its not reading the cam anymore, it reads the timing gear now? That means there is no need for a custom "LS2" cam blank to grind cams for the LS2.
