Default Updates on LS1 to LS2 conversions or LS2's in f-bodies?

Sponsors, any thoughts yet?

For those looking to do a heads/cam/stroker motor, whats $1000 in a block that already has a bigger bore.. especially if your current engine is tired.

I'll be looking into putting together an install kit for the LS2 intake. I just put my LS2 intake on my 408 and have to figure everything out. LS1 Fuel rail spacers and adapters, new injector o-rings, and the Throttle Body linkage bracket. It will probably include a map sensor extension for those that dont want to cut their factory harness.

Ill keep everyone updated. Hope to install the motor later this week. So i have to have everything done by then.

My big question is still about the Cam position sensor for the new Block.
Will we need to run an LS2 timing cover as well as the LS2 cam gear for it to work?

Will we be able to relocate the current Cam sensor to the front of the motor or will a different sensor be required?

Good thread! Hope we can get some good info from it!

Justin are you going to try to put a stock sized tb on the engine? I want to do a ls2 intake swap when i put my car back together but after i buy all the other stuff I need i'm gunna be running VERY low on cash and don't think I will be able to go to the fast tb and would like an easy way around the $500 tb so I could at least drive the car instead of let it sit there and wait on a tb.

I will be using the Fast 90mm. I don't think there will be a benfit to the intake unless you use the 90mm TB. I really never thought of doing that. If there is enough interest in an adapter plate, ill look into it and maybe do a back to back dyno comparison.

Thanks
Justin
