LS2 timing chain set
do you need the high buck tan one? Also I received my timeing chain and it has one dark side plate on it while all the others are light gray.Did I get a defect that did not
get shot peened or something,or are they all this way? I'd like to know if someone can look at their chain and see if all the side plates are the same color.I'd sure hate to use a defecive chain.
not drill it for the new black dampner?
"This is the LS2 chain#88958608 and #88958607 dampener."
And I see where SDPC says:
"The timing chain part number is 12586482 and previously this chain had only been used on the 6.0L in the 2004 Cadillac and Chevrolet pick-ups."
Can you post where it gives the detailed answer to "which is it?".
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
the 88958608 part number chain and 88958607 damper was the GM racing chain and damper created to cure early timing chain problems with the old LS1/LS6 chains. The new 12586482 is the GM production LS2 chain which has a new damper which is four times cheaper than the original GM racing damper.
Will a double row setup fit under the stock cover that has the integrated pickup?
This is for a C5R block which is not drilled for the rear cam sensor.
