Good job man! You will definitely get the jump on others from doing this. The pricing for everything that will include sensors etc. seems reasonable too I hear a promotion Kris

Great price!!! Those will sell like hotcakes... Any warranty on it?

I might have to sell my 6.0L Iron block and jump to the LS2 down the road.

Why can't you just reuse your stock knock sensors and extend the wires? Did I miss something here, please explain...

The LS2 knock sensors are in a different place and the computer looks for a different freq. for know because of the different location.

ok, I know that they are on the outside, but can you just adjust for them in LS1 Edit or HP Tuners?

How can the "Frequency" of knock change from the engine, Knock is knock. I could see this being an issue if we used LS2 sensors on ours cars now.

Having them there and being somewhat useable is better than not having them at all... Someone will figure it out....

Sound travels through the metal and will cause a different pitch and that is what the computer is picking up on. If the sensor is clear across the block the sound will be registered differently in the computer therefore it will not be able to compensate for that. I think that is the right answer at least and if I am wrong someone please explain the right reason. This one makes sense to me though as for how the sensor works.

You might want to run a CR calculation. With a normal gasket and only -2 cc reliefs you will be surprised what CR you will end up with starting with a normal 59-64 cc sized chamber.

Remember CR is the size of whole volume divided by the compessed volume. And when the whole volume gets lots bigger (stroker motor) you will get up in the 13s very quickly.

My rough calculations call for 76 CC of compressed volume on a 402 to get in the high 10s for a CR. So we need around -12 to -15 cc dish if we have a 59-64 cc chamber.

BTW, Kris can order custom JEs for anything you want. It is only money after all <g>.

Yes, you have to extend you cam position sensor harness to fit into the new location on the timing cover and that should be it. Like they said earlier, for the time being, the knock sensors have to be turned off and your cam will work with the stuff he send in the package.

Just curious... But with a nice set of heads and intake, exhaust, etc.. What kind of power do you guys think it will make at the wheels?
Would there be any advantages/disadvantages for and LS2 block versus and LS1 block.. Given all other parts the same?

Thanks for the info. I based it on the fact the stock LS2 has true flat top pistons and LS6 heads with 65 cc combustion chambers that comes 10.9 to 1.
I don't know the compressed thickness of the LS2 head gasket, but assumed it was the same as the LS1
