Default LS7 For Sale (Fall 2005)

It says only 500HP, so I'm doubting a 427 now. Anyways, here.

Don't forget that GM has a habit of underrating their engines AND it has to be emissions compliant as well as somewhat docile. It will be a 427 as some VERY knowledgeable people have already said just a "refined" one that ONLY puts out 500hp.

Fall of 2005, that sucks, that is a whole year away.

Um...i don't see any 345 hp LS2 on that page. I see a 345 hp Gen III 6.0, but that's an iron block truck engine.

The LS2 is on a different page. I'm doubting the 427 still.

But the one on the other page doesn't state the horse power.

The LS7 will be a 427, and it will respond very well to mods.

LS7 will be a 427. This is not speculation but rather direct information. A friend of mine is currently working on the 05 Z... cant say exactly what, as I tend to believe GM reads this site. But 427 it is.

Doesn't matter, there is no such thing as an '05 Z... unless he's referring to the Nissan 350Z.

The Z06 Corvette is an '06 model. Obviously, there is no '05 Z28.

And how in the world can you call the Z06 overpriced??????

Only 500hp? Do you think that a 6.4L should be 500hp and that a 427 should be 600hp? How many cubes do you think it takes to make a street and emissions legal 500hp anyway?
I never thought we'd get to a point where one would be saying only 500hp, anyone remember the early '80s? One of the quickest domestic cars was a Mustang GT, 157hp.

Dude, the 2006 models will come out fall of 2005. Just like it is still 2004 and the 2005 vette is out. And, I guess by the other post, it is a 427. I guess just get rid of that bitch cam and there ya go.

I bought my Trans Am in October of 2001. It is a 2002 model.

It's the MODEL YEAR that matters, because it's the model year that goes on official things like registration forms, dealer invoices, insurance, etc...

I like Marc agree,500 emmisions legal hp is impressive.I bet the longblock will be close to 17K and the shortblock around 12k,Thats alot of $$$$ and I'd probably opt for the 402 LS2 from SD that sell for 3995.00...
