That intake valve sounds hella small. Then again I could still deffinately see that car making that hp with that small a valve. A 4.125" bore and 4.00" stroke with any of decent gen 3/4 head should make north of 500 hp (at crank).

One of the last issues of Hot Rod had the power to weight of the Ford GT. It was pretty good, ME 12 though was outrageous, its a match for the new Z06 [If the ME12 was produced and it would be way more then the Z06] Any ways. the new Z06 is soooooooo nice. I want one so bad, to bad Im young and poor. I can't wait to see that on the street and at tracks in Europe, killing them all.

FORD GT:
3485lb/550hp = 6.34lb/hp
C6 ZO6:
2900lb/500hp = 5.8lb/hp
Add to that the ZO6 has a slightly lower 1st gear, and costs...what...HALF of what the GT does? I'm really starting to feel sorry for Ford.
Just kidding. The GT is a sweet car anyway.

Someone has to get into one of these motors and see what is really going on there, more so the heads and that cam. I was kinda hoping that these heads were so good that we could very well see 600 rwhp and maintain drivability. But what i am thinking is that if this head is based on the c5r head, then the c5r head which flows 340 cfm out of the box should bolt right on to this and the intake right? Im just trying to justify that i didnt wait an exrta year to build a 427 for nothing. I hoping to be able to use this block, crank (if a quality forged piece), and the rods (again, if they are any good), add on a great pair of heads and a matched cam and see what shes got. Been saving for a while so cash is there and ready to be spent !

I think the Ford GT is pretty seriously underrated though... isn't it more like 500 at the wheels?
