Default Spacers on fuel rails w/ LS2 intake manifolds because the injectors are too long?

I've noticed the LS1 to LS2 intake manifold conversion requires spacers, even when using the LS2 fuel rails. Does the LS2 use the same shorty injectors as the Vortec 8100 and the like? Can anyone with an LS2 measure the injector length?

Curious to know why the spacers are required.

LS2 engines do indeed use the shorter style injectors.

You can run it without spacers but, you need to be carfull how tight you tighten the rail down. The spacers will keep you from worrying about that. You can use washers stacked up to .250" and that will work fine. Best bet would be to mock up the rail on the intake and see what will work best for you.

I used some nuts that were about .250 in thickness underneath the rail.

Default ls1/s fuel rails on an 8100

will the fuel rails and/or the injectors from an ls1/ls2 fit on a 8.1?
