Supposedly it's a concept, but I really doubt it'll make production.

Hell, I'd be happy just with a 5.3L option like the TrailBlazer EXT (or whatever) has.

A V8 in one of those would be sweet. My nephew is thinking about a Colorodo. If there is a chance a V8 could come in one I'm gonna tell him to hold off on getting one. I hope it's more than a concept.

I believe the new trailblazers will have the option of the ls2, at least the new SS one will. Also, I dunno about an ls2, but I did see someone who put an ls1 into a colorado at the Berger show this past fall. Pretty cool idea for sure.

from what I have heard it cant happen at least to be cost effective and mass produced. it is pretty hard to get everything under the hood.

I for one would like to see it happen, but I dont think it would happen. It would be an awesome vehicle, but it probably wouldnt justify the production costs. Oh well.......

Hey, I have good customer of mine that is a manufacture of headers & motor mounts for alot of different things. He has been talking about putting together an LS1 swap kit for the Colorado. Think it would fly? If he does it I can assure you it will have everything you could possably need, & be for a fair price. Let know your thoughts everyone!!

I bet they put in the 4.8. If GM can half-*** anything they do. Look what they did to that poor bloated SSR. That came out with a 5.3...they just corrected that I think.

Yes, the 2005 model has a LS2 in it... but with the truck weighing in at 4780 lbs, it's not like it did a whole ton of good.

I think there are some people out there interested in something like this.... me being one of them... a great place to push it might be http://www.coloradofans.com - that's a Colorado / Canyon owner's site.
