Default Anyone ever dealt with RP Motorsports in Marrietta GA?

I keep hearing such bad things about them, but they built my engine, and have done everything to it i needed since the day i got my motor built, but ive never had nothing but excellent work/service done on my car. My engine has about 7K miles on it since last year, and it still runs strong and hard as a scolded dogg.

Sum1 enlighten me with a horror story.

Well, to put it plainly, stay away from there. There are more stories then you could even imagine. Wrecking customers cars street racing without the customers knowledge, continually blowing motors up on the dyno trying to tune them, etc.

I have heard only bad things about thier shop but not seen it first had. I know that I hear instead of "RP motorsports" called "Rip-off motorsports" by tons of people. I did call them a few weeks ago about getting my puter tweeked just to correct the spedo on a gear change and the crooks wanted $150.00 for that. That takes about 15 min to do correct? So why so much? I didnt ask for a BJ and to get the puter tweaked.

I have never dealt with them but they are about the only performance shop in georgia that has the slightest idea what an LS1 is. It just sucks, I don't know of one single shop in georgia that I trust enough to do motor work on. Does anyone else know of one?

Lamar Walden's shop over in Atlanta is the only place I would go to in Atlanta. They do their own machining over there as well.

Try MTI Racing in Marietta, GA if you need work on an LS1/LS6. They're a complete tuner shop, mainly late model Corvettes, and they recently installed a Dynomax chassis dynamometer. I started using them several years ago and they've always done excellent work for me. They're one of the sponsors of www.peachstateposse.com and you can visit their forum to read some customer endorsements. Call 770.919.7774 and ask for Reese.

Uhhhhh..OK. There's plenty of local shops that do LS1 stuff. Are you not from around here or something?
