The Rapid 402 comes with the Callies rotating assembly which is quite a few more dollars than the Eagle kit that comes with the SDPC 402 (I have the SDPC 402).

I ran my car last Friday and ran a 11.14 @ 125 mph with a 1.66 60' at 3640 race weight. Track traction was terrible and the DA wasn't very good either. I know I can run 10s with better 60's and good air.

First post here. This subject is right up my alley since I am considering a 402 stroker rotating assembly for my 05 GTO. Since I already own the LS2 block, I'm guessing that I could pickup the RA for a bit less than the entire shortblock. What brand would be the best return on investment for rotating assembly? Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Mark

how hard is it to put the LS2 in a camaro? is it hard or does it just sit in place of the Ls1?

Callies is considered the best, and of course is the most expensive. Honestly if I were you I would still buy the LS2 42 shortblock. When you add up the cost of machining and labor it would take to have your existing block done, it generally comes out cheaper to buy the assembled shortblock. Another thing to consider is Rapid and SPDC both have done several of these engines, but more importantly they have done it right. They know how to build them and will ship with a quick turn and do not require a core to send back. Weigh your options before making a decision.
