Altenator draining battery? whine noise

Default Altenator draining battery? whine noise
there is a high pitch but very low (hard to hear) sound coming from my altenator when my cars is turned off......my battery keeps draining after say 12 hours? its not the battery, i just bought a new one....and autozone scaned my altenator and said it was fine? i unhooked my extra wiring, lights, switches, etc...and it still makes the noise.

help

faulty altenator are known to drain battery's. had it happen to me twice with 2 different cars

think so? it charges the battery fine but sh*t i guess you might be right
