Default SLP's LS2 402, good idea or not?

I'm thinking of going w/ SLPs 402 short block but i'v enever heard anything bad or good about it . any info or comments would really help. what would be a decent head and cam setup for this motor nitrous may be an issue later down the road so i need a decent sounding /running cam for normal driving but also able to handle a 150 wet shot as well. any help would be great.

i have that same set up. cam is speed inc. ss3 heads are stage 2. car is very tame wife takes it garage saleing. i don't see any problems with slp. raced the car with 43 miles, now have over 600 and a few n20 passes. everythings fine. except the clutch.need to install my twin, centerforce won't hold it. last time out clutch slipped pretty bad. went 12.11@116.5 n/a, 11.90@124.62w/175 shot. bests are 12.05@117.81 n/a 11.51@126.43 w/100 shot.with clutch and tires probably see 10's. also it's a full weight convertable w/cast iron block, 6 point bar, subs, and amps.

Default slp 402

i have the ls2 version with stage 3 afr heads ported by TEA,it dynoed 456rwhp with the cutouts closed at MOREPERFORMANCE INC.so far i've had no problems except the engine is using some oil,i have the T-REX cam from thunder racing, this car is mean, especially on the roll.no oil leaks or misses and no oil on my back bumper ,,the car runs at 205-207 temp wise ,i put a slp radiator, and fan control and 160 thermostat,it seems to struggle to keep the heat down, but it never goes above 208,i used the mcleod street twin which dyed after780 miles i now have a clutch from carolina clutch stage 3 so far so good,,any questions just let me know

We currently have LS2 402 strokers on special. Give one of us a call or shoot me an IM, & we can discuss some of the different important aspects to deciding what stroker to purchase. Purchase a stroker from a shop that has installed them, tuned them, built several of them, and is comfortable working on LS1's & LS2's! You'd be surprised how many sponsors on ls1tech don't have a lot of experience actually building or installing built motors. Just because someone outsources a short-block or drop-ships a short-block doesn't make them knowledgeable

What's your goals for the stroker, & what do you plan on doing with it? A4 or m6? Heads?? Cam ideas??
