I blew my spec stage 3 clutch at the track yesterday... I got 400whp the most and I was running yokohoma Advan competetion tires [315], it started slipping after the 5th lap or so... I wanna know if anybody tried an ls7 clutch at the track and had any issues with it... Mine probably wasn't adjusted right or something, but still I want this to be the last and want to be done with my transmission

Everyone seems to be getting the best price from Fred Beans. Are you going to get the GM flywheel or upgrade to an aluminum?
If you want the Fidanza flywheel I believe that I found the best deal from LS1Speed. If GM, then just get that also from Fred Beans.

I hate it when someone doesn't leave thier pics online. Here's a few pics of the LS7 setup and my old stock 2000 clutch, not Z06 though.

Just one owner's opinion...but I'd stay far away from an LS7 clutch. It may be cheaper than others. But I've never driven a Corvette with a clutch as marginal as this LS7 version.

In 500+ passes in C5Z I glazed the clutch twice. On the C6Z I've glazed it at least once every time I'm at the track. And this on much weaker launches than I did in the C5Z. So not a clutch I'd recommend.

If you plan to avoid the drag strip, then the LS7 clutch may be fine. But if you'll be doing launches, especially launches exceeding 3500, forget about this clutch. Even at 2800, a launch that includes say 8 feet of slip will glaze it.

If the horsepower is say 380 rwhp or less, the LS6 clutch is robust, durable, will take slip, will launch at 5000, gave me 150-175 passes, and still had life left in it.
