Is there also an LS7 specific pilot and throw-out bearing as well?

I'd love this kit, but with a light flywheel option.

I have a 2001 Camaro SS with ~400rwhp. Once I'm ready for a new clutch THIS just might be my option I'd like a sponsor to put a nice kit for LS1 F-body people. So, Ls7 clutch, flyweel, PP, and bearings is what I need, right ? Well, I want it all in a kit !

LS7 clutch+PP come together, LS2 vette flywheel. I think since you have an '01 you dont need to worry about anything else.

All you need is four parts..LS2 Corvette flywheel, LS7 clutch pack, (pressure plate & disc) and the LS1 pilot bearing and LS1 throwout bearing. Very simple..I just bought all of the above..putting it in this weekend.

What about the Lingenfelter CTS-V aluminum flywheel? It weighs 17 pounds. That isn't as light as a Fidanza, but it's still lighter a lot lighter than the stock LS1/LS6 (24), and a little lighter than some LS1 billet options (20 SLP, 18 Textralia).

I have no idea what the difference is between the GTO and LS7 flywheels. According to Lingenfelter's website, the stock CTS-V flywheel is a LOT heavier, but other than that I don't know how it compares to the GTO or LS7 flywheels.

Does anyone know whether this will fit an LS1 f-body and the LS7 clutch kit?

http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/lpe-alm-ctsv.html

Edit: FWIW, Fidanza lists separate part numbers for the C6, 05 GTO, and CTS-V, so it doesn't look promising for Lingenfelter, but Fidanza might be a viable option.

What is the best combo of lighter flywheel and approx 11" after market clutch.

Have std LS6 at present. LS2 flywheel or this one best option - will all after market clutchs have the same attachement bolt / spacings?

If you want to keep your flywheel I'd recommend the luk pro-gold for the best holding power and true stock feel.

The CTS-V runs an LS6 engine. The LS2 flywheel will still be a necessity. I think there are some aluminum LS2 vette flywheels available.
