Does anyone have a part number for a Ls2 flywheel that will work with the Ls7 clutch and LS7 pressure plate?

What about using an LS1 throw out bearing?

Yes, if you haven't read through the thread. The common components that seem to work are: LS2 flywheel, LS7 clutch and P/P.

So JS how is the pedal effort? Does the clutch grab at the same pedal height? I'm assuming no shims or anything were needed? What about the weoght between the older LS1 assembly and the newer LS2 assembly? This is great news so far-but damn I couldn't hold on and bought a Ram Powergrip HD.

If my stock z06 clutch is any indication, its should be pretty resiliant. My 86K+ street driven clutch is still grabbing pretty hard, and only slipped a couple of times, and never since doing gears.

The new ls7 clutch seems to be similarly constructed, however there physically more clutch and a higher clamp load. It should last quite a while on the street. However, like its predecessor, it might not stand up to too many high rpm clutch dumps on slicks.

I'm confident comming out at 3000 should be fine...Is it for an allout race car,no but for a mid to low 12 Sec Street car this might be the ticket

Exactly. My car is bolt-on right now and at most, it'll be a heads/cam DD/street car with track use every now and then. Sounds like the LS7 clutch is what I'll be picking up verrrrry soon. Thanks for the info/review.

Default Ls7 Clutch

Now all we need to do is find a light weight billet aluminum ls2 flywheel that will work with the ls7 clutch. Any ideas?
