The LSx clutch and flywheel sets are usually sold as a balanced set - should there be a concern about balance with a separate LS2 flywheel and LS7 clutch?

The Z06 set, speaking from experience, is a bolt-on and go set from GM. I think the units are zero balanced against themselves, NOT as a set. I could be wrong but I think direct from GM the items should be okay to just bolt on and go.

I've got about a thousand miles on my LS7 clutch. At first engagement was pretty near the floor. As it broke in it moved up and feels great. Pretty much like stock except it grabs hard but without any chatter or other negatives. I'm about 430 RWHP in a C5. Great clutch for that level at least.

I'd be interested to see how it holds up over the long run at that power level and really abusing it.

I ordered my new LS7 clutch and LS2 flywheel on Monday to go in the 2000 Z28..the good manners and greater holding capicitiy are what attracted me to this combination..my C5 Z06 clutch is just not strong enough to use with the mods I have now...and I am geting ready to install a new set of heads too..it should be in the 435-450 RWHP after the heads..

Does anyone know the part number (s) of these? Is it two separate numbers for the clutch assembly and flywheel?

My Excedy sucks and I like the sound of this clutch characteristics

LS7 Clutch & Pressure plate kit 24233650

Edit: If you call your local GM dealer, parts dept., they can give
you the part numbers and pricing. I don't have the LS2 flywheel
number handy.

Be sure you use the Corvette LS2 flywheel and not the GTO LS2 flywheel. They are different and the LS7 p/plate will not work with the LS2 GTO flywheel.
