The cam doesn't break the rear end it's usually a combination of more power, bigger stalls and bigger gears, you really can't say the cam was responsible for breaking the rear. 10 bolts are 1 of the weak spots on these cars, the more you throw at it the faster it will go out.

the hot cam wont get u to 420rwhp... Go with something bigger... like a fm13 like stated above. ****, even with that u probably wont touch 420rwhp with those supporting mods. Maybe a trex cam or something! I personally dont see 420rwhp coming from that setup listed above! Maybe get the heads re-worked to flow a lil more... Goodluck and let us know how it goes!

I'd take that $500 you aren't spending on roller rockers and save a bit more for some better heads, IMHO. You can probably sell the LS6 heads, take your $500 plus a bit more and get a good set of heads.

Do you have any flow numbers on the LS6 heads you have now? If not before buying a new set of heads have them flowed and see how they perform. You might just want to get them ported. I've learned over time to maximize what you have before moving on to something else or your wallet will hate you. Most of the time it's all about getting the right combination of parts which perform well together on your car rather than throwing on what ever parts are popular at the time. Trust me I've gone thru several different set ups some of which performed well together and some didn't perform worth a ****. Check out your current set up first and make sure everything is good before opening your wallet.

Who carries that cam?

Check around I bet there are some pro drag shops somewhere close to where you live. I don't know where Dawson Geaorgia is but I used to live in Atlanta and I know there are several shops there which can flow check the heads. Talk to some of the guys at your local drag strip with King of the hill cars or pro mod cars and ask them where they get their heads flowed and who does their head work. I'm fortunate enough to live in Dallas and we have several pro drag race shops which have flow benches, Rehr Morrison and Hans Fuestal both have nice benches.

Personally, This is what I would do to achieve 420rwhp!
1.) Get some nice heads (My guess is either get your ls6 heads worked or sell them and get some nice afrs if price isnt a big deal, and if it is go with some nice patriot performance ones)
2.) Get a bigger cam like stated previously "FM13", "TRex" if u want something pretty nuts, or go with something like I did "Comp Cam .592/.581 on a 114lsa" (I put down 380ish with 4.10s and no underdrive pulley and stock ls1 heads)
3.) Make sure you have all the bolt ons "lid, TB, LS6 or FAST manifold, headers, aftermarket y, catback or just duals, U/D pulley, etc..."
4.) Get it tuned by a good tuner who probably specializes in LS1's
This should put you either right at 420rwhp or within a few in either direction.
If you dont get it... Go buy that 100-150 shot of n2o and say hello to 500rwhp
Goodluck man and let us know what u decide!

There are plenty of other options out there if you can't afford AFR's
Spend some time digging through the dyno section. Check out what seems to be working for other people and duplicate it. Most of all don't forget the little details.
