If the ~$550 (bare) price is indeed accurate, the will not be over $2500 assembled using steel valves. An entire LS7 top end will not be very much money, relatively speaking. The intake is cheap, and the rockers are cheap too.

As we all know, this head would hammer any ls1/ls6 style casting out right now, for less than, or the same amount of dough. Guys with big bore motors will be rewarded for the bore (finally) and loving life.

Not to mention the LS7 manifold isn't a proven performer. It isn't likely to be tested either since it is a must for those heads or the ETP LS7 heads. The 11 degree head would allow the use of a FAST manifold. The ET performance heads are available with titanium valves typically for 700 for the intake or exhaust.

The first of the ETP performance numbers are already coming through. Andy at A&A got 498rwhp and 467 rwtq out of a 6 liter motor with the etp 11 degree 215cc head with a 228/232 cam.

Why would you want to use the fast when the LS7 Should be a noticable diff better.

The LS7 has slightly shorter and fatter runners which more mimic the cross section of the LS7 heads.

Everyone says that the LS7 heads flow very well, but I have yet to see ANY flow numbers for them. I am sure they frow a lot just by looking at the port design. Anyone have any actual numbers?

Greg since there have been numbers released on the LS7's from TEA and other sources
the numbers no body has is the LS7 intake manifold and LS7 head bolted to the LS7 intake manifold.

Do you know the combustion chamber size? Why are you milling the heads? Shouldn't you have enough compression as is?

They are 70 cc. I'm milling them to get the desired compression ratio I want/need.

Big-Den, do you have the flow numbers, or a post that has them?
