The Viper Coupe are being reviewed already, I was looking at the Motor Trend issue and the Z06 beat the Viper in everything I think.
But back to the Z06 pricing if they are selling them for $71k MSRP, then bring $70k in cash and they will not say no. Just my two cents

man u all are crazy. OK! Z06 Vette is an V-8 monster making over 505 hp, while the V-10 viper makes only 500. hmmmmm, v-10 only making 500 or v-8 making over 500. you guys do the math.

I just built a 2006 ZO6 on chevrolet.com and it only $71,270.00, while the dode viper cost $87,695 through their website. And that doesn't include dealer pricing and all. But the vette had way more options to choose from. AND MOOOORE POWER!! I'm thinking zo6. Sorry viper guys, but no contest

that is exactly what I am saying but still if the dealer is charging $90K+ for a Vette, the Viper starts looking attainable, by the way the Viper has more torque. I do choose the ZO6 over the Viper though

I have always liked vettes but i have to swing with the viper this time. Mainly because i am a torque guy. you can have your peak hp numbers all day. To me, the vette designers also leaned a little too close to the viper in looks and i give props to originality. the lights, side vents, and a few other things just say viper to me when i look at the new Z06's. Don't get me wrong though, i know the performance advantages the vettes have, but VIPER gets my vote this time.

Im not gonna down either the viper or the vette cause they are both badass. Im not gonna say which on i would buy cause i cant make a decision, but i know that if i were driving either of them i would be a happy man.

One of my customers got his new Z06 two weeks ago and did a little 30 MPH to 170 MPH roll on with a Viper last weekend..when they got to 170 MPH the Viper was about 8-10 cars behind the new Z06..sounds a lot like an "*** whuppin" ( that's the way we say it down south)... 
The new Z06 is all it was said to be and then some..

Theres two guys in my town with vipers, both have bellanger (sp?) headers. One has a corsa and the other has a borla on there and they sound friggen awesome so I dunno where people get the idea that they sound crappy? If money was not an option id take the Viper. Dont get me wrong, the zo6 is amazing and looks sick, but both provide exceptional performance and it comes down to how rare the cars are and Id go with the viper simply because you dont see many on the road.

I see the Vipers on a semi regular basis but they get more play in FL due to year round acceptable weather and then there is some money rollin around the areas I frequent but other wise I'd say they are gonna be on about the same level as far as rarity.

Was it a new Viper? And did the person in the Viper know what he/she was doing? Were both the cars in the same/right gear? Any dyno numbers for both cars?

Both driver's knew what they were doing...the Z06 put down 455RWHP on the dyno with 545 miles on it..the story is true no BS involved...
