Any of the sponsors on this board that sell engine assemblies or related parts. you need a 4.125 stroke and 4.030 bore with a 6.125 rod will hook you up.

No. I am not running pump gas. I use Sunoco Supreme leaded fuel. 112 octane @ 110 motor octane.

That seems like alot of octane for 12.8 compression? Is there other factors that are involved?

How much clearencing of the block (con rod to block) do you have to do? my understanding is that you dont have to clearence anything to make a 402.

What are the best rods to use for the least clearance issues? Who all makes a 4.125 crank? Me personally would like to build one of these for my street car but I think I would play it safe with a 4.020 bore...

Also, would 12:1 compression be ok on 93 octane? If not what is the absolute highest you can safely run?

I would imagine with most steel rods you would be good. Eagle makes the Crank along with a few others. 12:1 on 93 octane would be a little high. Not to say you couldn't just most people stick in the 11.5 to 1 and lower. Also you can go 4.030 iron no problem. That is playing it safe.

I shift it at 8000 rpm and it pulls past that. We made a dyno pull at 8200 and it had just started to fall off at 8200 rpm.

I was thinking 4.020 on a LS2 block. I like the aluminum. Some are saying you can go 4.030 on a LS2 but I wouldn't want to go that far. I can't find a 4.125" Eagle crank. Apparantly only Lunati/Callies makes then and they are quite expensive. I think I will probably just go with a 4.1 crank in an LS2 block bored .020 (416 CI) and slap some ET heads on it. Maybe get close to my goal of 550rwhp on pump gas. Or maybe the L92 block will come out soon...427...
