Heads & Cam & Intake for a Sleeved LS2 427?
Criteria:
Sleeved LS2 427 CID
No power adders - N/A
Daily Driven
6-speed
Not going to be a drag car. Roadracer if anything.
What are your opinions on Heads, Cam, and intake for my application utilizing technology that will be available by May of 2006?
I've searched around but most info is for 402s and 408s.

Ls2 427
WHO did the re-sleeve
I want to have a ls2 427 done
I believe I would go with ETP HEADS 240'S for the street and weekend track car .
I would also have ED Curtis design the cam.
I am going to use :
Steve Demirjian President
Race Engine Development
Oceanside, Ca.
760-630-0450
race-engine-development@***.net
for the 427 sleeves
Just my .02
Good Luck

I concur.
(Mostly ignoring the street aspect and going with the road racing focus): Cam should be a solid roller. Anyone running over 0.700" intake lift yet? My Dynomation work says ~ 0.620" is as much as is needed on the exhaust. Intake just has to be the Harrop IR system! Believe it or not, this thing could make 800 HP with a semi-streetable cam. (The IR vastly improves the low RPM operation)
Oh, yes: it needs 2-1/8" to 2-1/4" stepped headers with custom Burns collectors. Who's going to step up to shoehorning in this pipe size?

How about some LS7 heads and intake? Sounds like you are doing the same thing as me... NA 427 for the street. I plan on going with the Warhawk LS7X heads and GM LS7 intake manifold with a cam in the 25x/25x range, if not 260's with around .650" lift. The heads won't be avaliable until late spring 2006.
