Default LS1 Oil Dipstick Tube w/ LS7 Heads?

This came across my mind today. The LS7 doesn't have an oil dipstick in the engine block like the LS1's have. LS1's have a threaded hole in the passenger side head for the oil dipstick tube to mount to. I'd imagine that LS7 heads don't have this hole. For us LS7 head on LS1/6 block people, whats a solution to this? I am also wondering if the Warhawk LS7X heads will be equipped with this hole.

If you can't find a location to drill and tap on the head you could just fabricate a small bracket and bolt it to the valvecover.

Good point, but I dont think I would feel comfortable drilling and tapping a hole in a nice new LS7 head. Might hit a water passage or something. A bracket sound like a good idea though. Thanks!

Oh, I just thought of another solution. Lokar products makes universal flexible dipsticks that could possibly bolt to an exhaust manifold bolt. You may want to look into that too. They look pretty nice because they are designed for show engines.
