** C6 LS-2 A4 auto dyno numbers w LG Headers/G5X-3 cam + AFR 205**
Hi Guys,
Just finished a C6 with an A4 auto transmission. the customer drove in from St Louis for the work. He waited 2 days while the work was completed.
We did our LG Pro Long Tube headers plus a G5X-3 cam package, AFR 205 cyl heads, Fast intake with Stock TB and an UD pulley and Halltech CAI.
The results are: 454 rwhp 423 rwtq and keep in mind that this is an automatic
Here is the graph below.
Thanks

Well, its a locked conv. looking at the graph. With any good converter vs. stock we're talking 5% loss...maybe a little more, little less. I was commenting on drivablity with a large-ish cam and a stock conv.

I bet your there aren't more than 10 heads/cam LS1s or LS2s with automatics making as much or more power than this in the entire country. This is an exceptional dyno number for an automatic.

Those are VERY good numbers. I know of M6 cars with the same setup as my car (F11 cam, bolt-ons, ls6 intake), putting down 395~ rwhp. My car put down 348 w/ a 4400 tci convertor unlocked. Thats almost a 50 rwhp difference. They don't list the convertor above unless I missed it, but had this car been an M6, it would have seen 470+ rwhp easily. Definitely no slouch. An auto locked will be closer to an M6, but still not quite as high. Sounds like this car will be in need of a big convertor if they want to get it down the 1/4 though...unless its already got one.

Most that I've ever seen an unlocked A4 make cam only is about 405rwhp. T-Rex and MS3 both pull about that. Adding AFR205s add about 40-45rwhp on an M6. Nothing close to that on an A4. So 405 + 30 + 10 for the FAST gives us 445 unlocked.
If it's unlocked, it's doing well. If not, it's still pretty strong. Although the dyno starts around 3600RPM, meaning it may be an unlocked 3200-3500 stall.
